Edington Online

23rd - 30th August 2020

Edington Online is our way of bringing a little bit of Edington Festival magic to you this unusual year. This will celebrate the key tenets of the Festival – namely liturgy, music and friendship. Over the course of the regular festival dates (23rd-30th August) we will release a series of videos which will feature music from previous festivals (all the way back to 1966!) alongside newly recorded prayers, readings, liturgical reflections from our clergy and voluntaries from our organists. BBC Radio 3 will play an archive Edington broadcast on Wednesday 26th August. Watch out for some more light-hearted content from Ben Sawyer and the Nave Choir back row and for a very special recording of the Parsons Ave Maria featuring our regular festival participants with some special guests…
The programme is as follows (all prerecorded videos released at specific times, apart from the BBC broadcast):
Sun 23rd 9.15pm Compline
Monday 24th 8pm Evening Service
Tuesday 25th 8pm Evening Service
Wednesday 26th 3.30pm Choral Evensong (2015 archive broadcast on BBC Radio 3)
8pm The Nave Choir Entertains (some light music from the Nave Choir back row)
Thursday 27th 8pm Evening Service
Friday 29th 8pm Evening Service
Saturday 29th 8pm Evening Service
Sunday 30th 12noon Festival Finale
